You MUST have the following: Expert level as a Python Developer/Software Engineer/Programmer Amazon Web Services (AWS) commercially or in home projects Either of the following two: Strong experience on the buy-side- hedge fund, asset management, investment management, wealth manager Excellent knowledge of Fixed Income- such as government and corporate bonds (rates and credit), ABS, CDS, IRS etc Ability with JavaScript (whether React, Angular, Vue or alternative) Agile The following is DESIRABLE, not essential: Java Node Kotlin Role: Python Full-Stack Developer (Software Engineer Programmer Python AWS Amazon Web Services Cloud Buy Side Buy-Side Hedge Fund Asset Manager Management Investment Mutual Fixed Income Credit Rates Derivatives Front Office Front-Office JavaScript React Angular Vue Agile Java Node Kotlin) required by our asset management client in London. You will be assigned to a central architectural team within fixed income. Fixed income consists of 10 Agile teams spread over London and the US. You, one other lead engineer and the head of engineering will be responsible for producing guidance on architectural standards and best practice. The team will also be used as an elite unit to prototype ideas requested by the business, investigate new technologies and pitch in on projects that need rapid delivery. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a very high-grade team, in a mixed role that will expose you to multiple teams, technologies and areas of fixed income. There will be rapid learning and a high degree of satisfaction from a fast moving role. You will come into the role with a strong background in fixed income or from the buy-side. You will have worked with AWS commercially or in projects at home. You will also be competent with the front-end and likely familiar with a variety of JavaScript frameworks. You will be up to date and current with a variety of modern technologies and trends. This is an environment that has been described as the only corporate environment with a start-up/fintech attitude towards technology. Hours are 9-5.
