Strategic Buyer Nr Whitstable £45,000 - £50,000 Manufacturing A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Strategic Buyer with a leading manufacturing organisation based in the Whitstable area on a full-time permanent basis. The strategic Buyer will be supporting the Procurement Manager and be responsible for leading all aspects of sourcing, tendering, category management and supplier relationship management. The Strategic Buyer is required to have the following: · Minimum 2 years’ in a tactical/strategic based Procurement role · Experience with an engineering/manufacturing industry · Devising long term commodity strategies to deliver required objectives. · Ability to working effectively in a fast-paced environment. · Experience with Identifying and establishing strategic vendor partnerships. · Rationalising supply base. · Experience effectively managing end to end NPI’s · Leading and driving continuous improvement · Experience of MAPICS XA an advantage · MCIPS qualification · Relevant Degree e.g. Procurement Management, Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering · Ability to read and understand engineering drawings · Good negotiation and vendor management skills with a track record of improving vendor performance · Excellent knowledge of world market opportunities
