Overview
Role: JOB PURPOSE: To help ensure that the obligations and polices in respect of the Mortuary are fulfilled and monitored. To assist the Mortuary Manager to deliver an effective, efficient, and high-quality service in accordance with the service specification, business plan, legislation, delegated powers, policy, Standing Orders and officer codes of practice. Maintain an awareness of all legislation, professional development and initiatives nationally and locally in respect of the mortuary functions, in particular the Mass Fatalities Plan. To undertake casework of a high profile or complicated nature under the direction of the Mortuary Manager To participate in the out- of- hours service and the on-call system.
