Assistant Accountant

Assistant Accountant required by long established Gainsborough company for 9-12 month maternity cover Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting a full-time Assistant Accountant for a Gainsborough based business. The role is to start as soon as possible for a 9-12 month maternity contract. Your new role Reporting to the Finance Director and working in a small team, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties including ledgers, credit control, payroll support, accounts to trial balance, month end routines, fixed assets, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT/CIS returns and assisting with budgets and intercompany accounting. What you'll need to succeed You will have recent and relevant accounts experience gained in an SME environment and even if you have not done all aspects of the above you will tick most of the boxes and be keen to learn new things. You will be outgoing, good in a small team with great interpersonal skills and be IT literate. You will also be living within a close commute of the Gainsborough area.
