Overview
Do you have a passion for Construction and are looking for something in the commercial sector? We have a new role with a contractor that requires a Plasterer Immediately. Location: Horsham Contract type: Freelance Start date: ASAP Duration: 10 Weeks Pay rate: £15.00 - £16.00 (Self-Employed) Randstad CPE contact: Harry Cork (Brighton office) The company: A well established contractor who works across the UK. The role: Working as a plasterer on a site in Horsham About you: Applies coats of plaster to interior walls, ceilings, and partitions of buildings, to produce finished surface, according to blueprints, architect's drawings, or oral instructions, using hand tools and portable power tools. Spreads plaster over lath or masonry base, using trowel, and smooths plaster with darby and float to attain uniform thickness. Applies scratch, brown, or finish coats of plaster to wood, metal, or board lath successively. Roughens undercoat with scratcher to provide bond for succeeding coats of plaster. Creates decorative textures in a finish coat by marking the surface of the coat with brush and trowel or by spattering the surface with pebbles. May mix mortar. May install guide wires on the exterior surface of buildings to indicate the thickness of plaster to be applied. To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes: Previous experience required in a plastering position. Working knowledge of site health & safety procedures would be an advantageous. Strong work ethic in a team.
