Overview
Fantastic opportunity to join an established successful law firm in Norwich city centre. This is a Full time role to work in a busy team in Norwich providing support service to the Solicitors and Caseworkers to enable them to operate at optimum efficiency, including but not limited to the main responsibilities given below. Your main duties will be: To prepare correspondence and documents using audio typing and word processing. To prepare mail and enclosures for dispatch. To ensure that all key dates are noted on the matter file summary sheet and in the central diary. To provide administrative cover during lunch breaks and other periods of absence. To attend clients both in person and on the telephone. To take accurate messages for our Solicitors and Caseworkers and ensure that they are passed on in a timely fashion. To assist our Administrative Assistant and provide cover during periods of absence particularly in relation to locating files for Court, Police Station attendances and appointments and placing incoming correspondence with the correct file and putting it before the appropriate Solicitor or Caseworker. To arrange for all copying to be done. To ensure the confidentiality of all Company and client documentation and information. To promote the Company when and where possible. To maintain professional standards at all times. To carry out any other duties and responsibilities that may be required by the Directors. To provide support and guidance for other secretaries as may be required for the effective and efficient running of the Company. Skills required for the role: • Typing experience with Digital dictation • The ability to communicate well via telephone, in person and email • Secretarial background • Organised and methodical with a keen eye for detail.
