Data Analyst £35-40k Excellent Benefits, Chichester Bench IT require an experienced Data Analyst to join an organisation based in Chichester. The successful candidate should have the skills and experienced detailed below. Essential skills of Data Analyst: Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst Excellent analytical skills - Improving current business processes and verifying that their requirements map to the company’s needs. Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc) Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc) Experience of visualisation tools (Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, Crystal reports etc.) Self-starter into problem solving and strategic thinking Management of an organisation’s data and metadata Organise, specify and model new requirements to existing applications that are reliable and predictable Proficient in querying and modifying in SQL Server including general DBA tasks Proficiency in documenting processes understood by stakeholders 5 year database working background Strong experience of installing, administering and troubleshooting SQL Environments to resolve critical database issues including SQL Server 2008, 2012 and 2016. Knowledge of database design and programming (T-SQL) Excel and advanced formulas VBA or similar scripting knowledge Desirable skills of Data Analyst: Data Warehousing (WhereScape or similar) Good understanding of fundamental dimensional modelling techniques Technical experience working with business intelligence solutions ETL experience Responsibilities of Data Analyst: Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing BI reports Conduct system testing and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) of developed functionality and ensure defined business requirements are satisfied Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions Design and implementation of tables, stored procedures, functions, models, security and jobs within all SQL applications Assist with reconfiguration, translation and migration of data in systems Data Analyst £35-40k Excellent Benefits, Chichester
