Overview

Based in Sunbury, this established Motor Insurance provider requires an experienced Product Support Technician to join their busy and friendly team, supporting the maintenance of existing and the set-up of new Motor Insurance products, the electronic trading mechanism (EDI) and provide other product related operational support to the business. Responsibilities include checking EDI daily reports, investigating failed messages, testing rates and the rating functionality on multiple platforms. You will have an understanding of Motor Insurance with time spent in Underwriting or an Underwriting Administration environment, an eye for detail and be able to multi task to a high standard. Duties Provide operational support to all areas of the group relating to its insurance products Liaise with software houses, brokers and outsourced providers to support all aspects of existing products, and the creation of new products Test products on internal or external platforms, including rating, EDI, documentation, and functionality changes Support the EDI process, including making changes, problem solving issues and errors until either implemented or resolved Develop knowledge of all aspects of the Electronic Trading mechanism and its message structures, and the various software house platforms Ensure that daily processes including MID and CUE are processed and dealt within required standards and deadlines Document processes, changes, enhancements, errors and issues and adhere to controls. Assist in the delivery of existing and new departmental procedures and ensure that they are adhered to Problem solve business user issues on the internal business system to ensure they are operating correctly and efficiently on a day to day basis Ideal applicants will have an understanding of Motor Insurance with time spent in an Underwriting or Underwriting Administration environment with some knowledge and understanding of motor insurance products, their rating, policy documents and related terms and conditions.
