Medical Devices Lead / Principal Electronics Engineer Oxford £Neg excellent plus benefits Our client is a successful Medical Devices company bringing its first innovative product to market. The product is a complex and challenging instrument, combining electrical and electronic systems, power management, motor controls, sensors and communication systems. The Lead Electronics Engineer will be responsible for developing and co-ordinating all electrical and electronic development, validation and maintenance activities related to the product. The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of the leadership of a small dynamic team, getting involved with the product at all levels and being hands-on with the product to facilitate continual improvements and developments. Skills and Experience Ideally 10 years’ experience of medical devices electronics design, and development compliant with ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 Proven track record in the design, development, implementation, and validation of electronics for medical devices. Familiarity with the regulatory requirements for electrical safety for compliance with European, Canadian and United States quality standards, with practical working knowledge of IEC 60601 and ISO 13485 Excellent working knowledge IEC 60601 standards and compliance pathways working with test houses, performing risk analysis, analysis of critical components etc) Ability to produce Technical Reports to a high standard both in terms of technical content, presentation and written English Proven track record of demonstrating analytical problem-solving skills · Manage the ongoing development of the electrical and electronics systems for reliability, ease of manufacture and troubleshooting · Support the Lead Software Engineer and Technical Director in Verification and Validation activities · Contribute to the design/build of laboratory test and measurement rigs Qualifications · Minimum degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering and ideally a post-graduate level degree This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89709800
