Overview
Site Reliability Engineer - DevOps Location: Birmingham Contract: 6 months Rate: £450 - £500 per day IR35 Status: Outside In this Site Reliability Engineer position, day to day you'll work with an up-to-the-minute tech stack, writing code for infrastructure automation, orchestration, configuration and CI testing and making extensive use of a wide range of AWS services. You'll have the chance to collaborate with the wider engineering team to design and implement new features and services. The successful Site Reliability Engineer DevOps will be required to: Run the show in Production environment by monitoring availability and reviewing system health including scalability, availability and latency on regular basis Drive incident management process and support a blameless post-mortems culture Work with development teams to improve services via testing and release procedures Be part of system design, consulting, platform build and management, capacity planning Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts Plan for reliability by designing systems to work across our global estate Produce tools to assist the product development teams with successfully deploying code change sets every day Share the on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for incidents Work closely with multi-functional teams Site Reliability Engineer – DevOps Specification: You have professional scripting / coding experience with Ruby You have experience working with AWS (or other cloud providers) You have a solid background working with Linux You have experience working with data services (e.g. Cassandra) You are a positive team player, committed to delivering scalable, high quality code Beneficial: you're a passionate techy and have contributed in some capacity to the open source community If you are an experienced Site Reliability Engineer DevOps available now or in the near future for a new contract opportunity, please apply with your updated CV or call Axl at Premier Group for further information.
