Trainee Accountant | Dewsbury | £18,000 - £22,000 The Opportunity Are you a recent accountancy and finance graduate seeking a progressive role within a growing and professional SME in West Yorkshire? This is an ambitious, acquisitive, modern business with plenty of scope to progress for someone who is ambitious and keen to learn. You will be working alongside a mentor who is currently undertaking CIMA and a seasoned Finance director with a wealth of knowledge and experience, this is a very supportive environment with which to take the first step into your finance career. You will enjoy Your role will initially encompass all aspects of purchase ledger including: Bank reconciliations BACS payment runs Supplier statement reconciliations Raising purchase orders Inputting supplier invoices Credit card recs/ staff expenses Finance admin / query resolution As your experience and confidence develops, you will have opportunity to be exposed to core accounting including month end processes, VAT returns, accruals and prepayments and management accounts preparation and reporting. Experience of transactional accounting is desirable (either within your current role or through a placement year) Excellent IT skills and working knowledge of Excel.
