Are you an experienced Buyer OR in Procurement/ Supply Chain looking for a new opportunity? Do you want to work for a UK market leader? This really is a fantastic opportunity for somebody to get involved in a company that is growing and extremely successful £30,000 - £32,000 Location is Tyseley by moving to Solihull April/May 25 days BH 09:00 - 17:30 PM This role is a stand alone role and is a new role to the business they want somebody who is happy to take control and ownership of the buying, procurement and supply chain responsibilities in the manufacturing division and beyond. Responsibilities: Setting up and managing new supplier agreements Liaising with suppliers and negotiating terms Supplier Audits / Ongoing supplier scoring and management Manage supplier relationships for new and existing ranges. Produce and manage a purchase strategy Work to a year on year cost saving target Consolidating spend Rationalisation of the supplier base Introducing robust processes to ensure you are maximising cost saving opportunities Managing costs and identifying opportunities for savings Ensuring Service Level Agreements are in place and managing suppliers against this Providing reports to the board as requested Communicating at all levels and dealing with end of end purchasing, including all administrative tasks About you: Experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing or Engineering organisation would be beneficial Have experience and understand in Procurement and Supply Chain CIPS qualification - or equivalent Experience of working with international suppliers Ability to negotiate and agree contractual terms Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet variable deadlines High attention to detail and a methodical approach to meet deadlines Proven ability to cost save Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Mathematical Logical in your approach Interviews taking place next week Randstad Business Support acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
