An exciting new opportunity has become available for a full time Consultant Psychiatrist to join our brand new service at Cygnet Hospital Hexham . This is a full-time position to support and lead the Multi-Disciplinary Team to provide clinical services to adults at Cygnet Hospital Hexham. This position is on a 10 bedded Female Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit. The successful candidate will be supported by 1 Specialty Doctor. Cygnet Hospital Hexham provides state-of-the-art facilities and a multi-disciplinary treatment programme designed to assist service users in their recovery. The post holder will also have responsibility for auditing the medical services rendered at the hospitals and ensuring their good quality in accordance to GMC and other relevant professional guidelines. Moreover, the post holder will have responsibility for upholding the Company’s policies and procedures and protecting the Company’s interests as appropriate. As a fully registered member of the GMC, you will be a consultant with senior leadership experience in mental health. You will be required to provide strong, visible leadership in the provision of effective and high quality services. You will be supported by vibrant, well-resourced multi-disciplinary teams, with an absolute focus on delivering superior patient care through a range of proven models of treatment. Candidate Profile: Full GMC Registration, Section 12 and AC Status Preferably experience within an acute psychiatric setting as well MRCPsych or equivalent Ability to work alongside and lead a multidisciplinary team In-depth knowledge of Mental Health Legislation Knowledge of risk assessment and risk management principles Proven record of Continued Professional Development (CPD) Excellent communication skills In return, we will offer you: Salary: up to £150,000 (Depending on Experience) NHS Discount Card Free meals Generous annual leave entitlement which increases with length of service CPD support, PDP programmes and study leave with funding support Active participation in clinical governance and allied support meetings Appraisal and revalidation support Opportunity to undertake further learning and development Medical indemnity cover Contributory pension scheme and free meals during working hours.
