Overview
Working for a high speed production facility managing a large engineering team that work around the clock. The ideal candidate will have proven experience of working in an an industrial laundry or similar manufacturing/production environment. The Role: To lead, manage and continually develop the Engineering Teams in the achievement of functional objectives that support the site/plant and Company Business Plan. Reponsibilities: · Planning, organising and coordinating resources to meet production requirements of ongoing maintenance, machine replacement and unplanned issues. · Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment as per production requirements. · Monitor and continuously improve machine availability and effectiveness. · Work with approved suppliers to obtain parts and machinery. · Ensure all plant property, equipment and other assets are fit for purpose in compliance with group standards. · Providing training to engineers and operators on new machinery. · Manage and develop employees (including absence, performance management, grievances and Health and Safety Training) during regular review and feedback meetings. · Agree budgets with Line Managers, managing all activities in accordance with the agreed budget and resolving any variances. · Implement corrective actions to resolve all production/engineering problems, eliminating unplanned downtime and continuously improving working practices Knowledge and Skills: · Good attention to detail and the ability to analyse data and interpret information effectively to continuously improve the team. · Experience in managing a team, particularly in a production/process facility·IT skills · Skilled in electrical/mechanical/steam operations · Ability to organise self and others to ensure tasks are carried out in a timely manner If you feel you could be successful in this role, please apply with an up to date CV.
