Test Equipment Technician Tewkesbury £30,000 - £33,000 Role The maintenance, repair and upgrade of a variety of Electro-Mechanical test equipment The role shall also co-ordinate with the Test Equipment Design and Project/NPI functions The candidate will need to be specialized in at least two of the five key skill subjects (Electronics/ Electrical/ Hydraulics/ Mechanical and or Software), with respect to Test Equipment Responsibilities Timely investigation and resolution of issues creating a stop on production, a quality escape and / or reduced first pass yield. Perform sustainment activities to complete planned and non-routine maintenance for all Test Systems within the company, repairing down to component level, often with limited drawing cover. Understand and adhere to relevant regulations, standards or industry best practice in completion of maintenance or repair activities. To maintain the configuration of test equipment deployed for operational use at their facility. Maintain or create documentation during fault finding, maintenance or upgrade activities. Use the Maintenance Management System to track work assignments and resolution findings. Support Root Cause investigations into all aspects of the Test Equipment System and/ or components as required. Ensure all Health & Safety practices are followed and any new issues raised, during any work activities. Write or assist with the completion and review of work related Risk Assessments and adhere to them. Actively participate in site Lean activities to improve the function and site; this must be a continuous improvement program. Able to perform basic computer skills including use of AutoTime, Emails, Intranet use and Electronic Ordering. Specify parts to maintain inventories for cost effective maintenance of Test Systems and support infrastructure. Qualifications A relevant vocational qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline as a minimum. Minimum of 5 years’ experience of the build or maintenance of complex servo-hydraulic and electromechanical Test Systems and supporting infrastructure. Experience in one or more of the following: JIRA, Pirana, Maximo, NX or Autocad is advantageous. Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and VISO. Knowledge of PC operating platforms (DOS/ Windows/ Microsoft Environments) would be advantageous. Qualifications in one of the following: Machine Shop Practice, Hand Soldering, Hydraulic Maintenance would be advantageous. This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89889014
