Job title: Workshop Supervisor Location: Derbyshire Hours: Days Free Parking Due to expansion, my client a very successful structural steel company is recruiting for a hands on Workshop Supervisor/Quality Control/Fabricator Welder based in Derbyshire. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a position with a reputable company with long-term prospects. Due to ongoing work, along with many new projects, my clients is looking for someone to take the lead in the workshop as a Workshop Supervisor As Workshop Supervisor/Quality Control/Fabricator Welder will include: Leadership of the growing workshop team Organisation of the workshop and production areas Scheduling production and materials requirements planning Hands-on fabrication and problem solving Work in a clean, safe environment at all times. Monitor work area to ensure the workspace is safe and colleagues are following safe working practices. Ensure the best interests of the company are always maintained As a Workshop Supervisor/Quality Control/Fabricator Welder you will report directly to the Workshop Manager. You will be hands on person with good communication skills. An engineering background is essential, preferably in structural steelwork along with quality control. You will be able to read and work from engineering drawings and have welding experience to BSEN 9606-1 , FLT licence & Overhead crane experience would be an advantage however not essential.
