Infrastructure Engineer

Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking. On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Infrastructure Engineer for a 3 month contract based in Edinburgh. Purpose of the Role: Required to manage the underpinning core infrastructure including desktop support and Azure Active Directory. Required to build out cloud infrastructure for Innovation Forum Proof of Concept's (PoC's). As a Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for: To ensure that the bluebank environment is kept current and the potential maximised. Provide key technical specialism to this innovative resource, identifying improvement opportunities, researching new technologies, designing, developing and delivering innovative improvement initiatives Responsible for the supporting of Data Loss, GDPR and governance controls for the bluebank environment. Required to carry out research & development work into new technologies around the cloud desktop and server infrastructure. Build and Integrate security into users workspaces VCS and VDI on the Microsoft M365 cloud environment Experience with managing an Azure Intune tenant in a heterogenous environment covering Windows 10, Mac OS, iOS & Android Creation of Intune configuration policies, compliance policy configuration and review Creation and management of Windows 10 Update rings with patch management Azure Architecture, Design and Management for Azure Projects. Experience required in the following areas -Azure Virtual Networks (VNETs), Network Security Gateways (NSG's) & Domain Name System (DNS) -Azure Active Directory Domain Services (AADDS) -Azure Infrastructure As A Service (IAAS) (Virtual Machines (VM's), Domain join, Group Policy Objects (GPO's), Update management, Azure Extensions, Desired State Configuration (DSC)) Azure Security Azure Logging and Monitoring What we require from the candidate: Infrastructure Engineer with experience of Azure, Intune, MS Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) Azure automatic build scripting required (ARM) Strong general and current technology knowledge This client will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
