JOB TITLE - Care Team Leader - Nights Salary - £11 per hour Hours of Work - 38 per week, 3 Shifts on 3 Shifts off, 19:45 - 07:45 JOB PURPOSE - To take responsibility for the daily running of a care unit, focusing on the effective deployment of staff to ensure a consistent level of high quality person-centred care for residents and their families. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Service Delivery - To work with colleagues to plan and implement programmes of person-centred care for each resident in agreement with the resident and their family - To ensure the safe administration of medication to residents, in accordance with organisational and nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) policy - To inform and involve relatives and family members in the care of their loved ones, as appropriate - To ensure that all organisational policies are adhered to, with particular reference to health and safety, manual handling and infection control - To coordinate and supervise all aspects of daily life in the care area, including meal times - To liaise with other departments across the home, where appropriate to ensure that he needs of residents are met - To liaise with external practitioners including GP's, dieticians, speech and language therapists, social workers, community mental health practitioners, dentists and opticians to ensure that residents physical, emotional and psychological needs are met Upholding and Developing Standards - To work with, and lead colleagues to ensure that residents receive a consistently high standard of physical, emotional and social care in accordance with their needs and according to their individual plan of care - To ensure that all documentation, including care plans, daily records and evaluation charts are completed promptly and accurately in accordance with the organisational and legislative guidance - To report incidents and occurrences in accordance with organisation and legislative policy and take action as appropriate Human Resource Management - To take responsibility for attending mandatory training, and taking responsibility for own continuing professional development (CPD), by discussing development needs with clinical supervisor and ensuring that an up to date record is held in HR. - To work with colleagues by providing supervision and mentorship to support in skills and knowledge development Financial Management - To utilise available resources effectively and be aware of financial implications in the clinical decision making process, including the use of agency staff show less Benefits Pension Parking Job Type Permanent Degree Required By applying for this role you accept the Recruiterlink terms and conditions that can be found on our website and agree to receive email notification of other suitable jobs This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89666475
