Be a Diabetes Educator This role is all about being the support people need to make lasting changes to their lifestyle that they cannot do alone. In brief you will: Deliver brief one-to-one basic health assessments, including recording weight; Deliver group-based education sessions for a minimum of 60 minutes to a maximum of 15 participants; Empower participants to change their lifestyle behaviours; supporting them to lose weight, improve their diet and increase levels of physical activity; Manage participants’ feedback and experience of the NDPP Local marketing and promotion of NDPP as appropriate; Book and schedule suitable venues. Additional information Our client is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and expect all employees and volunteers to share this commitment. Employment will commence following an Enhanced DBS check. Educators must be able to travel and work across different areas and be flexible in their working patterns to facilitate out of hours delivery, delivering sessions during evenings and weekends as required. This role is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract based in Liverpool and Merseyside.
