QA Engineer

My client are an award-winning tech-firm based in the heart of Manchester City Centre. They have an exceptional, mobile app based product that has proven exceptionally popular in the market and has ultimately resulted in the business growing exponentially. As such, we're looking for a QA Engineer/ Software Tester with a passion for digital products in heavily tech-focused environments. The QA Engineer/ Software Tester role, based in Manchester, plays an important part in the development journey for my client's main product offering. You'll play a important role in executing tests leading up to each product launch making certain that the software runs correctly and meets requirements. All in all, you'll be a team-player, with a yearning to be involved in all stages of the product life cycle to carry out test plans, identify and resolve system defects in order to meet agreed standards. Responsibilities Working in a cross functional development team,working with Iterative/AGILE methodologies. Analyse and review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Create comprehensive test plans and test cases. Experience working with Iterative/AGILE methodologies. Develop and execute automation scripts. Work closely with both the internal Product and Engineering teams to identify test requirements. Identification of bugs and working with the engineering team to use corrective measures where appropriate to eliminate them. Perform thorough regression testing prior to code deployments. Analysis of current testing processes and creation of better improved versions for new and existing products to meet commercial needs. Ensure that you're tracking assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts and produce relevant reports to action. Demonstrable experience with testing of native iOS / Android or React Native applications Strong ability in writing concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases. Hands-on experience with black box/white box testing. Strong capability with automated testing tools Performance, load or security testing TestRail or a similar test case management tools React Native end to end testing frameworks such as Detox and/or Appium Traffic monitoring/interception tools: Charles, Fiddler, Burpsuite Conducting analytics and localisation testing Working with and testing APIs If you're a QA Engineer looking for a new role in an exciting, Central Manchester based, award-winning Tech Firm- apply today
