This is an exciting time to joining Beaverbrook as we are expanding our Maintenance team. We work on an enviable 470-acre estate which incorporates Hotel, Leisure and Restaurant facilities and we’re looking for a Maintenance Assistant with the willingness to get stuck in, who works well with others and understands what it is to be part of a busy team, to join us. As a Maintenance Assistant, your role will include identifying and resolving repairs and maintenance issues in bedrooms, public and back of house areas, ensuring that our Guests and Members have an exceptional experience. This is a hands-on role where you will support the established Maintenance team with inspections, fault finding and carrying out works aligned to our service level agreements. No two days are the same as a Maintenance Assistant… Every day brings a different challenge and new learning at Beaverbrook. The Person Our Maintenance Assistant will be passionate about delivering great customer service, eager to please and happy to lead by example. You will be able to use the internet, email and mobile applications. You must be able to remain calm under pressure, able to multi-task or prioritise tasks in the absence of your Supervisor. You must be comfortable with completing job reports and delivering to predetermined service level agreements. Training will be provided but ideally you will have some experience in basic plumbing repair, basic carpentry knowledge, painting and decorating. Beaverbrook is a responsible employer and takes health and safety seriously, an ideal candidate will have experience or completed training in manual handling, working at heights, and electrical safety. The Maintenance team works 08.00 to 19.00 on a rota, with weekends on rotation. Flexible, full-time and part-time hours are available for the right candidate. Nights may be required at key times during the year.
