Junior Web Developer (PHP) opportunity to learn Laravel - Birmingham - salary up to £25K DOE plus benefits (Flexible working hours, training, progression) An opportunity has just arisen for a PHP Web Developer to join an expanding team for a leading corporate provider in their industry with international cliental. They are an insight-led company who value innovation, intelligence and passionate problem solvers You'll be part of a small but very ambitious and collaborative team where you will play a key role within the Business Systems Development team, where you will be developing new bespoke web solutions within a fast-paced Agile environment. You will also look after the maintenance of a suite of websites and applications. A very exciting aspect of this role is the opportunity to learn Laravel and continue to develop your existing skills Requirements At least 1-year experience with PHP, VueJS and JavaScript Good understanding and use of SQL Git Analytical mind-set and approach to problem solving Team Player who can adapt toa fast paced environment Desirable Laravel (there is opportunity to be learn this if you don't - if you do even better) AWS DevsOps The Role You will be supported from day 1 and made to feel like a valued member of the team and really feel like you are making an ample contribution to the projects. You will use your technical skills and intelligence to create innovative solutions that fulfil the customer's needs and business wide efficiencies, ensuring they have flexibility and scalability A typical day could look like this Developing new websites, features and applications in line with customer or organizational requirements, including system integrations. Liaise with Business Systems Agile team regarding handover and testing of your developments. Assist with 2ND & 3rd line support to the websites, applications and systems including AWS. Report writing and data interrogation. Maintaining the integrity of any required system documentation.
