Overview

A well-established organization is recruiting for Day or Waking Night Support Worker for their care homes and supportive living services in Cornwall. You will be supporting Adults or Children (8 - 18 year olds) who have Aspergers or Autism and some may display challenging behaviour. Main Job Role: - You will work in 1 location. Area`s are: Blackwater, Camborne, Hayle, Helston, Newquay, Redruth, St Austell and Truro - Support clients with everyday duties i.e. cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping etc - Manage them through their Support Plans (maintain good health and diet) - Assist them with any activities or day centres they attend to - Accompany them out & about in the community i.e bank appointments, health visits etc - Encourage them with future goals they would like to achieve - Full or prompting personal care required but no manual handling / hoisting Qualifying candidates: - Have life, paid, personal or voluntary experience in care (any setting / sector) - St Austell candidates must be a car driver due to location (no buses available) Contract / Terms (pro rota): - Days is £8,538 - £17,076 per annum £8.21 an hour on weekdays & £10.72 on weekends - Nights is £9,755 - £19,510 per annum £9.38 an hour on weekdays & £10.94 on weekends - Set hours and weekend only contracts are paid at £8.21 an hour - Some locations will require 1 sleep in per week which is paid at £75 per sleep - Contracts available: 20, 30, 39 or 40 hours a week - Day shifts can vary between 8am - 10pm - Waking nights are 10pm - 8am - 3 month rolling rota Benefits (pro rota): - Outstanding internal training given plus a full induction - Chance to complete a free NVQ / QCF qualification whilst you work - 5 weeks holiday bank holidays - Food allowance whilst on shift - Career progression - 3% contribution towards your pension scheme If you have the right skills or experience for this role; then please call Jeet on 0117 9486300 or email your CV with the job reference number to: Jeet.Kaur BSSocialCare.co.uk - thank you and good luck with your job search Connect with me on: Instagram: J33TS Twitter: Jeet_JDKS LinkedIn: Jeet Kaur-Sathi This job was originally posted as www.caterer.com/job/89611627
