Overview
Quality Supervisor - Bolton Salary: 24,000 to 28,000 dependant on qualifications and experience The Company Our client is a successful and established Retail Bakery outlet with over 150 shops located across the North West, Midlands and Yorkshire regions. The Role A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Supervisor to join their business to ensure the company complies with all the governmental legal and technical requirements to maintain the Companys BRC accreditation. The candidate must be driven, energetic and willing to learn and develop within the company. Role Responsibilities: Maintaining the BRC Grade. Managing the HACCP team and chairing meetings. Ensuring the product is checked online on a routine basis, recording customer specific information as required. Responding to customer complaints, liaising with the relevant departmental Managers as required. Issuing and maintaining customers specifications and other documentation and ensuring it is adhered to. Working closely with new product development and production teams to ensure that methods and working practices for new products and product changes comply with relevant food safety requirements. Ensuring packaging, label and product nutrition information is accurate. Maintaining shelf life trials to ensure best before dates are correct. Working with purchasing to ensure all suppliers complete a paper audit before supply. Inspecting ingredient suppliers as required. Ensuring the Company meets its legal requirements for environmental health issues including pest control, worker health supervision and other matters. Essential Skills Requirements: Must have previous experience in BRC accreditation. Computer literate, knowledge of IT systems. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to assert authority to ensure full compliance by factory personnel. A hands-on leadership style with excellent attention to detail and the ability to assist with customer site visits.
