Overview

USMAART are currently recruiting for an experienced Risk and Compliance Officer based in Dudley, West Midlands. This is an extremely sought after position due to both the hours offered and the fact that the organisation have a fantastic reputation. You will be a joining a specialist car insurer with over 100,000 customers to service. The aim of the role is to work with business management and the Risk and Compliance management to ensure that all regulatory, and conduct risks that impact the business are identified, assessed and have appropriate controls that are appropriately monitored. Responsibilities Maintain an in-depth/practical understanding of risk and regulatory requirements (for example conduct requirements), and their application and be able to apply to business needs. Develop and maintain good working relationships with the business and promote a strong and positive risk and compliance culture; in-line with group standards and policies To provide advice, guidance and challenge to support the business in, the application of risk and regulatory requirements Assist the business by providing support to embed the Integrated Risk & Compliance Framework Provide advice, guidance and challenge to the business in their population and assessment of risks and controls within DFN Communicate relevant regulatory information to business areas in a clear and concise manner and provide oversight of any resulting actions; Act as a point of contact for risk and compliance queries and escalate to the 2nd line where necessary Analyse relevant MI to identify gaps in risk, compliance or conduct issues and undertake root cause analysis where appropriate to highlight underlying trends and identify and track actions as appropriate Review and approval of financial promotions, Scripts, Documentation and other communications to ensure compliance with the standards and requirements of relevant regulation and codes of practice; and to conduct this in line with the internal service level agreements (SLA) Review and approval of website content and on-line journeys to ensure compliant Act as a point of contact for all GDPR activity, including approval of Privacy Impact Assessments Act as a point of Contact for Financial Crime and escalation of issues as appropriate To coach management and staff so that compliance procedures, etc, are successfully implemented / embedded / maintained Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours Minimum 2 years' experience within a risk and compliance role Good working knowledge of FCA, treating customers fairly, data protection and complaint handling regulations Ability to plan and prioritise own work load Strong communication skills - written and oral Ability to build strong relationships, internally and externally Hours and Salary You will be working Monday - Friday 9am - 5.15pm (1 hour lunch) The salary for the role is £28,000 - £35,000 per annum plus an exciting benefits package.
