Overview
THE COMPANY: This is a brand new Assistant Accountant role for a well known, and prestigious brand with multiple offices across the UK. The company have fantastic head offices based just outside the town centre in Harrogate, and are now looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their small finance function and report directly the the Financial Director. This role would be ideally suited to a Part Qualified or Qualified by Experienced Management Accountant with a good grounding and knowledge in management accounts and reporting, looking to take the next step up in their career. THE JOB: This role will report to, and work directly with the Financial Director in a small finance team of 4. The key duties of this role will include: Preparation of management accounts, including balance sheet, cash flow statements. Preparation of monthly journals, including accruals and prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations. Assist with the budgeting and forecasting Overseeing the purchase ledger function. Managing the monthly payroll Management of the aged debtors including cash flow. Monthly VAT Returns. Assist with year end audit file and tax packs.
