Learning Support Assistant - Full Time & Flexible working available. £8.50 - £12.00 per hour. We are currently looking for Learning Support Assistants who want to make real difference to the lives of young people. We can offer you guaranteed work with shifts that fit your lifestyle; Full-time, nights or weekends are available for suitable candidates. Responsibilities: Support Tutors with the delivery of individual learning to meet learner needs and provide assistance as detailed on lesson plans and assist in preparation of resources prior to learners attending. Support all assigned learners with activities outlined in LDA, EHCP and/or learner ILPs, within classrooms, workshops or other defined locations. Support the assigned TUTOR(s) in the classroom with all elements of lesson preparation and delivery activities (under the supervision of the assigned TUTOR). Ensure all learners understand and are compliant with all aspects of HASAW. Ensure that Better Healthcare's policy on Equality and Diversity is followed at all times. Support Tutors to create conditions in the training centre which will help to develop the abilities, skills and confidence of each learner. Support Tutors in the monitoring, reviewing and assessing of learners on a regular basis to meet the requirements of awarding and funding bodies and to help tutors ensure learners make the progress expected. Support the Tutors to ensure that discipline is maintained at all times and that learners are supervised appropriately. Support the Tutors in ensuring that learners are involved in the decision making process, either as individuals or in groups through learner forums. Support the Tutors when required to do so in the development of training materials and embedded support in order to maximise progression opportunities for learners. Support the Tutors in managing resources and ensuring the security of equipment and materials. Support the Tutors in maintaining records of learner attendance and punctuality. Conform to requirements of the quality systems, ensuring procedures are followed correctly as directed. To contribute to the 'Self Assessment Process' by working within the guidelines of the Common Inspection Framework. To undertake any other relevant duties as specified by your line manager, commensurate with the level of this post. Have a passion for supporting young people with emotional behavioural difficulties.
