Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £9.13 per hour Information: This role is shift work. Driver, full UK driving licence, is required due to location. Domiciliary Care East is a care agency that provides support to individuals with a variety of requirements, ensuring they remain the centre of the support we offer. People can be supported in their own home or in our supported living services and have a care package tailored towards their individual needs. Your duties will be varied and no two days will be the same. You'll be providing support for day-to-day living, such as social activities, sports and hobbies, employment, holidays etc. along with support with general household duties such as cooking, cleaning and money management. In some services, you may be required to undertake personal care. As a Senior Support Worker you will be expected to lead shifts and assist with coaching and inducting of new staff to the service. You will also be required to participate in the on call rota. You will write daily reports on activities, as well as devising and updating care plans and undertaking risk assessments for the people we support. Our services operate 24/7, so you will work in shifts (as allocated by your manager). This means you may need to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You may also be required to undertake sleep-in shifts on a rota basis, paid at £50.00 per sleep. What experience do you need? We expect our Senior Support Workers to share our vision to ensure that ‘every moment has potential’ for the people we support to learn new skills and to achieve their goals. Basic numeracy, literacy and good English are a must. As well as computer (Word/Excel) skills and some knowledge of Health and Safety requirements. An NVQ/Diploma L2 or 3 in Health and Social Care would be ideal and this role would suit an experienced Support Worker who is ready to step up Above all you need to be kind, caring and ready to work as a team to ensure that our services are comfortable, happy, fulfilling and safe places to live.
