Overview
Production Technician As an operations technician you will conduct blending and associated warehouse duties to support customer demands as part of the product development process, in accordance with good working practices and within agreed time limits. The key accountabilities are: Key Accountabilities: Produce blended oil and additive formulations to recipes with minimal guidance. Follow defined templates to deliver quality products that can be used in the product development process. Participate in general laboratory practices such as housekeeping, safety practices and stock control. Addresses problems from customers, processes or procedures; causes may not be obvious. Delivery of great customer service (timely, accurate and professional service). Be able to demonstrate accountability for your actions, have a right first time, proactive mindset. Work within/outside core role to seek continuous improvement opportunities. Demonstrate a flexible and versatile approach to all activities within the Blend Services department. You should have a good understanding of Health and Safety in an operational environment and have the ability to manage your own workload. Due to the nature of work, you will have the ability to handle stock containers that can weigh up to 30kg and operate manual handling equipment for containers weighing more than 30kg. As the role will involve weighing chemicals to a high level of accuracy, previous experience in a laboratory environment would be beneficial. A Fork Lift Truck licence would also be an advantage. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills and a professional approach. Prior experience is not essential for this role as training can be provided for all technical aspects.
