Overview
I am working with an automotive client based in Guildford who is on the lookout for a Chassis Engineer to join the growing team. Day to Day Responsibilities Include: Design activities in the design team Using Catia V5 Designing chassis systems including steering Racks, EPAS steering columns, suspension components, wheels and brake systems Liaising with the prototype workshop to define components and support test vehicle build Liaising with project management and the purchasing team to ensure budgetary and timing plans are met Conduct meetings with suppliers and technical partners Scheduling activities to promote engineering deliverables that meet required specifications Ensure designs meet relevant regulatory requirements Experience and Skills: Experience within motorsport and sports cars Catia V5 Capable of carrying out hand calculations for components and correct material choices Understand bush design for NVH, ride and handling Good working knowledge of ABS, ESC and TC Desirable Experience and Skills: Degree in mechanical engineering Knowledge & experience of EPAS, active suspension systems FEA software If this position for Chassis Engineer sounds of interest, please apply with an up to date copy of your CV for consideration.
