Job Title: Goods In Inspector - Mechanical Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, UK Duration: 6 months Rate: £18 per hour Role Summary/Purpose The Goods Inwards Inspector works closely with other members of the WMS Team to ensure accurate and efficient material throughput (Dock to Stock) in support of manufacturing production cells. This role has a strong emphasis on inspecting product in line with our client's Quality Management System. Essential Responsibilities: Receive, verify, process and receipt goods to the business system Process through the Quality database (QMS) Tip QA Inspection of product for: FOD, Corrosion, Burrs, Paint Chips, Scratches & visible contamination. Electro Mechanical Parts Inspection for Manufacturer approval in qualified parts database. Sample parts checking to DSQR sample plan Where part permits: Check 5 characteristics verifying conformity to Drawing. Review areas of perceived risk based on experience & Non-Conformance history. Record / Scan Supplier C of C's / Pack slips Management of Non-Conformance Communication and Escalation Collaboration with Manufacturing Teams / Engineering / Supplier Quality Carry Out 'Specific Criteria' Instructions Priority awareness and management Comply with QMS Procedures Control of Documents Tracking and Control of stock Housekeeping Traceability Control Business System Transactions Stock disposition & housekeeping Qualifications/Requirements Experience of Receiving and Processing Supplied Parts through a Quality Inspection tool. Experience in Mechanical Measuring and verification to Drawings CMM use or alternative Automated Measuring Applications Electro / Mechanical Experience Read and Understand Drawings / BOM's / Circuit Diagrams Use of basic measuring equipment. Calipers, Micrometers, Gauges etc. Working knowledge of material handling requirements Inc., ESD, HazMat, MSD ANSI/ESD S541 Packaging Materials for ESD Sensitive Items ANSI/ESD S20.20 Electrostatic Discharge Control Program for Protection of Electrical and Electronics Parts, Assemblies and Equipment. IEC 61340-5-1 Protection of electronic devices from electrostatic phenomena - general requirements IPC - A - 610 acceptability of electronic assemblies Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of Aerospace Material Handling and controls.
