Overview
Production Improvement Engineer – Factory of the Future Working as a Production Improvement Engineer, you will act as the focal point for Operations and will be the key interface between Engineering and the company’s technical experts. The responsibilities of the role are diverse and involve providing both proactive and reactive technical support to the production line, with the aim of making it as up-to-date and efficient as possible. The company, a world leading manufacturer of equipment for the Aerospace industry, are currently going through a period of growth and have taken on some extremely exciting projects relating to the future of air transport. They are now seeking an ambitious Engineer to join the journey and ensure the production environment is also prepped for the future by identifying and introducing new machines and cloud technology as well as ensuring existing machines are optimized to work together in harmony. Based in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility you will take a lead role in process improvement projects across throughout the production line and ensuring improvements are implemented by constructing relevant manufacturing instructions. You will also lead technical investigations, conducting root cause analysis and in turn implementing corrective and preventative actions. For this role you will need; Experience working in a complex manufacturing environment with NPI and continuous improvement experience. Relevant qualification in a Mechanical/Engineering/Manufacturing related subject. Understanding of Statistical process control FMEA’s and lean manufacturing.
