Overview

Through growth and expansion this unique, regional firm of Chartered Accountants has created an excellent opportunity for an individual with drive and enthusiasm to enter into a new role within the organisation. You will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of mainly audit and some non-audit SME clients ranging from Corporate through to Trusts and Estates. Your broad role will involve establishing and Managing the set up and growth of a new Audit function as well as planning, supervision and review of clients’ financial accounts production including preparing notes for partners; preparation of business tax computations and appraising and managing staff and assisting with technical accounting problems. You will also assist with planning and managing audit assignments too. We are therefore seeking someone with energy, strong influencing skills and who takes pride in their work. You will be a qualified accountant, either ACA or ACCA. We expect the successful candidate to be a hands-on, self-starter with proven managerial skills and experience and the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally with clients. You will work on business development strategies with the partners and feel confident to identify opportunities within your clients and cross sell the services of the firm. There are genuine opportunities for Directorship/ Partnership in the near future for the right individual who possesses the desire though equally, you could also have a very successful management career. The role is Shropshire-based and will no doubt appeal to someone living in the area and is tiring of the commute into Birmingham for example.
