Overview

Avanti Recruitment have partnered with an Engineering Powerhouse in Sussex working on advanced vision and sensing solutions for autonomous driving and are working with many of the biggest names in the Automotive industry. You’ll be working on proper R&D projects - developing proof of concepts, prototypes and new solutions making real-world, usable, semi-autonomous driving products safer and more efficient by way of superior technology. We’re looking for a senior level Software Engineer to join their R&D division with a proven track developing production quality code in C++ with an appreciation for either computer vision, mathematics, machine learning, robotics or signal processing. Day to day, you’ll be working on everything from safety-critical C/C++ code, prototyping and implementation of novel solutions, porting code to embedded environments, optimisation and continuous improvement as well as live testing projects too. You’ll need good academics - a good degree in Computer Science (or similar) Experience in development of embedded software Advanced C/C++ programming skills Experience working in an embedded Linux environment Experience of using Continuous Integration, build systems, Cmake, Git, GitHub, Gerrit, Jenkins An appreciation of / a willingness to work in an Agile, Test Driven environment Bonus points: Any experience working on embedded devices / processors / ARM architectures Exposure to safety-critical development processes or automotive industry standards such as MISRA, Spice, ISO26262 or AUTOSAR In return, you’ll get unmatched career development and progression opportunities, excellent salaries, flexible working, true work-life balance and a company that really look after their staff.
