Cleaner / Housekeeper Sector: Private Healthcare Location: Reading Job Type: Temporary Monday to Saturday Pay Rate: £9.20 to £9.77 paye per hour including holiday pay Duration of temporary role: This is a temporary role for at least 6 weeks and maybe longer Start date: Asap Working days and hours : Monday to Saturday working 5 days a week 7am to 5pm A DBS is required to start and work in this role, therefore, if you have a copy of your DBS you may be allowed to start straight away or Your World would need to complete one with you. Job Purpose To work as part of a team in maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the Hospital to the required standard of the Housekeeping Department and the Trust and to ensure the maintenance of the required level of linen in the wards and departments throughout the hospital. Duties Daily cleaning of wards, offices, and public areas. Specialised cleaning of theatres and infected areas as requested. Floor care maintenance. Ensure the correct colour coding procedures are adhered to in order to prevent cross infection. To adhere to the cleaning schedules displayed for each area and instructions to depart from these schedules will only be given in the interest of patient care. Laundering of patients personal clothing when required. Skills and Knowledge Evidence of working in a medical or healthcare environment. Previous cleaning and housekeeping experience
