Overview
My client, a well-established and highly regarded law firm, are recruiting for an Industrial Disease Paralegal or Solicitor to join the team. The team covers complex and high value claims for those with terminal illnesses, life limiting conditions or respiratory disability predominately caused by occupational exposure to Asbestos dust. The appointed candidate will work on cases in tandem with the Industrial Disease team, assisting both the Solicitors and support staff with work on evidence; assisting in the preparation of issue of cases in the High Court, assisting with court directions, cost budgeting and court bundles; interviewing potential witnesses and collation of information for schedules of loss and damage. The position has the potential for the appointed person to, in time, undertake their own caseload. Applications are welcomed from talented and ambitious NQ Solicitor or Legal Executive or someone who is working towards CILEx qualification or have completed their LPC, currently working in either Litigation or Personal Injury. The candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to work to tight deadlines and be able to show compassion and understanding to help those clients who are seriously ill.
