Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller to join a global services company at their friendly, modern Office based in Runcorn. Reporting to the Credit Control Supervisor you will offer an excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers. Job Responsibilities:- - Proactively manage your customer accounts by telephone and email to ensure that cash is collected in a timely manner in line with the agreed credit terms - Work with different areas of the business to drive query resolution on your problem accounts - Identify cash receipts for your customers accounts and match these with remittance advices - Log queries and work with key stakeholders to seek resolution to enable payment - Supply accurate updates on your customer accounts as and when required - Have a good understanding of both internal and external customer requirements and provides the best possible service to customers - Ensure that all correspondence is dealt with promptly and escalation is managed appropriately - Month end deadlines are met - Processes (SOPS – Standard Operating Procedures) are documented in a standardised agreed format - Has a good understanding of both internal and external customer requirement, engaging with them to build strong relationships and partnerships utilising excellent customer service skills to provide the best possible service - Maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders - Take ownership and drive your own development with the support of your colleagues, manager and any other resources available - Highlight problems/issues and suggest solutions - Support continuous improvement, identifying value-added activities to improve efficiency and eliminate or reduce non-value-added activities. Support the implementation of identified opportunities. - Undertake any necessary training associated with the duties of the role and participate in training and development procedures - Any other Ad-hoc duties as required To be considered for this role the following experience is essential:- - Previous Credit Control experience is essential - Proficient in MS Office applications (particularly Excel) - Experience of using ERP systems, preferably SAP and Credit systems e.g. Dun & Bradstreet - Excellent verbal and written communication skills together with negotiating skills and an understanding of the different communication needs of a range of customers - Proactive approach to problem solving - Ability to prioritise and work under pressure - Ability to work to deadlines - Good customer service skillset, going above and beyond when necessary - Committed team player - Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy - Trustworthy, diligent and self-motivated - Strong organisation and time management skills This role will pay up to £20,000 DOE, Monday – Friday, 9.00 – 5.00 plus 21 days holidays (increasing with length of service) free parking, plus other benefits.
