Overview

Management Accountant Client Details Public Sector organisation is looking to appoint a Management Accountant on a fixed term contract Description Produce the monthly management accounts pack for review by the Company Accountant. Processing of monthly transactions using Sage 200. Liaise with Finance Assistant to ensure all reconciliations are completed. Creating and posting journal files. Producing the monthly budget holder packs. Produce the financial data reporting required by DH. Liaise with other functions to ensure their reporting requirements are met. Promote the use of the Purchase Order process. Producing ad hoc reports as required by the Company Accountant and Financial Controller. Assist in the production of statutory returns such as the Corporation Tax Return and VAT Return. Liaise with the Payroll Manager to produce all required establishment reporting. Assist in overseeing the Finance Assistant to ensure all purchase ledger transactions are processed correctly. Assist with the development of the Finance Assistant both in work and in their studies. Work closely with the Finance Assistant on the required reconciliations to ensure the integrity of the financial reporting. Work with functional leads to collate the annual budget requirements. Produce the financial data to underpin the Financial Plan. Update the monthly forecast for inclusion in the monthly management accounts pack. Cash management and reporting. Work with the wider finance function to ensure effective financial control Ensure Capital projects are accounted for correctly. Work with internal and external auditors where required to assist in the achievement of a successful audit outcome. Be an active member of the wider finance team providing assistance and support where necessary. Ensure the Corporate Finance Team retains effective governance. Reviewing current financial processes and recommending improvements when needed. Profile Good Team member with strong communication skills Experience of working within a similar role. Experience of using Sage. CIMA/ACCA Part Qualified. Educated to A level or equivalent. Advanced Excel user. Experience of working within a team environment.
