Recoveries Collector Department: Shortfall Debt Recovery Location: Crossflatts Salary: £17,000 to £18,000 depending on experience plus annual discretionary bonuses Contract type: Permanent Our Client, a global market leader provides end-to-end mortgage solutions for their clients, partners, patrons, consumers, and investors. As part of this role you will have the opportunity to study towards a relevant Certification in Debt Collection. About the Role This role will see you work with customers who have mortgage shortfall debt and other losses, where you will be responsible for identifying the best way in which their debt can be settled. This entails handling inbound and outbound correspondence (emails, post, calls) as directed by the Team Leader. There is a strong focus on providing excellent customer service and a high level of quality in line with client Service Level Agreements. W hat will you be doing? As part of this role you will analyse and interpret customer information using Credit Bureau tools & other external data sources. This will allow you to test information that has been provided and where appropriate recognise the best solution for our customers. Once the above process has been completed you will then ensure agreed arrangement plans remain the best solution for the customer in order to resolve their debt. Within the wider team you will be required to work closely with your peers to seek support and advice around individual customer cases, and ascertain which cases need further investigation. Through this process we like to see you use your own initiative and look for continuous improvement in the way we do things. What are we looking for? Computer literacy Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills Ability to use your own initiative Good attention to detail and quality Previous experience of working in a Debt Recovery / Collections Environment Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers but also engage with all levels of stakeholders Adaptable to change not just within the requirements of the role but organisational change Able to build resilience quickly, working with sometimes complex and challenging cases Please note that this role would see you work on a fully flexible basis and you would be expected to work between the hours of 8.00am-8.00pm Monday to Friday, including the occasional Saturday 8:00am-1:00pm (approximately 1 in 4).
