Job Summary Job Title: Support Worker Location: Oak Lodge – Polegate, BN26 5DU. Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £8.30 per hour Information: This role is shift work. Our Support Workers are focused on active listening, meaningful engagement and ensuring people lead full, healthy and active lives. Oak Lodge is residential service for adults aged 18-50 with severe learning disabilities, Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), restricted mobility, sight impairment and/or epilepsy. The service offers a person centred planning approach, tailored towards individual’s needs. People are supported to meet their goals and to live as independently as possible, having an active role in their own care. Additionally, individuals are supported in identifying and attending any leisure activities they wish in order to boost confidence and communication skills. Staff are specially trained and are available 24 hours a day including overnight when required. What experience do you need? You don’t need to have experience to be a good Support Worker. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you. You’ll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is also required.
