Overview
15ten15 are currently recruiting on behalf of a Global Distribution Business for an In-House Legal Officer based in Leeds. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR This role will involve proactively supporting the business on a broad range of contract and commercial matters. Role and Responsibilities: Providing general legal and compliance advice across the Company Maintaining a Contracts database and general Contract housekeeping (ensuring all contracts are dated, signed and documented) Provision of in-house legal advice colleagues on wider legal issues in particular for UK-based business covering operations, claims, property and commercial matters Comment and make suggestions where required and ensure commercial support Drafting and editing Solution orientated – both legal and commercial in order to negotiate contract and bring to conclusion with signature Liaison with insurance company when required Claim negotiations when required Continuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Skills Required: PQE 1 Years or more providing accurate and effective legal counsel Minimum of law degree level education LPC Required Companies Act and Competition law knowledge Strong experience in contract review, drafting and negotiation as well as a strong grasp of general commercial matters A commercial background desirable In-house experience highly desirable Practical experience in claim negotiation and settlement A self-starter, able to work independently and manage complex issues in a fast paced commercial environment Ability to works under pressure and to deadlines and to prioritise and multi-task WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
