Overview
Robert Walters: Commercial Finance Manager/Business Partner I am currently recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager/Business Partner , on a permanent basis within the South Birmingham area's for a for a reputable business within their field offering career development opportunities for the right candidates , the salary for these positions is negotiable depending on experience. Please note: The qualification required is ACA, CIMA, ACCA and the candidate will ideally come from a fast paced and evolving organisation Salary: Negotiable depending on experience General Requirements of Commercial Finance Manager/Business Partner: Approval of journals for business area, ensuring validity of accounting entries and compliance to contract, escalating any concerns to senior team partners Monthly balance sheet review for area' of responsibility, escalating key risks / opportunities to FP&A lead Review of operational working capital components and recommending / driving actions to improve performance Implementation of standard monthly reporting to be used in the business Assist in training of operational teams in the use of business reporting to understand and improve their financial performance Analysis of financial performance highlighting to operations director key points to be discussed at monthly review Partner operations director in monthly review process, ensuring financial actions are carried out Preparation of client reporting and prompt response to any queries Attend designated client meetings Work with operational teams to prepare budget and forecasts for are of responsibility in line with UK and sector guidelines Analysis of forecasts and budgets, highlighting to operations director key points to be discussed in the reviews Partner operational director in the forecast review process Ensure revenue and profit movements are clearly bridged Partner operational teams in preparation and modelling of reneg opportunities Review of reneg final proposal prior to submission to RFD Ensure actions required on mobilisation plans are clearly understood and executed in line with timetable You will ensure the health and safety of all colleagues within the business and report any incidents via the approved company processes Qualification Requirements of Commercial Finance Manager/Business Partner: Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) Experience of leading, motivating and coaching a team of finance professionals Handle business partnering senior stakeholders with the ability to challenge, influence and persuade at all levels Change management experience Strong analytical skills Advanced user of Microsoft Office packages inclusive of Microsoft Excel
