The day job Currently looking for an Senior Infrastructure Engineer for a unique opportunity to work in collaboration with the existing team on a complex assignment……. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Infrastructure Engineer to work with Defence Sector industry experts, in a complex and demanding environment. As an experienced Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll be key at providing third-line support to site teams and projects on this established and large scale account. A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Systems Integration Engineer to cover both hardware and software support on a large and challenging secure site (not server focused). Key responsibilities Provide integration reports on new software and hardware entering the estate Package and distribute software components to the Enterprise using Microsoft SCCM Assist with support of the corporate environment whilst maintaining it's integrity Administration of support queues - incident and workload management Progress incidents and problems to their conclusion Report anomalies and escalate issues to the Team Leader Essential skills Security Cleared or eligible, prepared to go to DV SCCM Administration - Software distribution, OS deployment and monthly Patches Scripting - Powershell, VBS etc Software integration and compatibility testing Operating system build and delivery mechanisms Good software packaging knowledge Desirable Skills: Application sequencing Previous exposure in or to an MoD environment Reasons why you should apply to us We’re big – really big.
