Accounts Assistant

Accounts Assistant Based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire our client working in the recruitment sector is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant. This job would suit an individual with strong timesheet processing and invoicing experiences to be responsible for ensuring that their Contractors are paid to agreed timescales and their Invoices to clients are issued in a timely and effective manner. You will be assisting in managing their Debtor accounts to ensure timely payments of their invoices and help to establish strong customer relationships. The company is 30 years old and continues to grow across the UK and internationally working in over 20 countries. The team continues to expand and this role will be working in a friendly and busy team that is essential to keeping the business on track. The successful individual will most likely come from a construction or recruitment background where there are large amounts of contractors working for the company and payments are needed to be made on a regular basis. You will have a minimum of 2 years work experience in a finance team looking after payroll, purchase ledger or sales ledger. Duties: To calculate contractor invoices with speed, accuracy and efficiency. To ensure that sales invoices are issued on a monthly/adhoc basis in a timely manner. To assist in the preparation of monthly contractor accruals and deferred income journals and ensure that any expenses have been recharged. Payment of contractors to ensure that payments are made punctually and accurately. Oversee the collection of customer accounts in a timely manner to ensure high customer satisfaction and loyalty. To be responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the Debtor Ledger and ensure that any invoice queries are resolved. To be able to communicate in an efficient yet friendly manner with all stakeholders of the business, internal and external.
