Overview
What you’ll be doing As Project Manager, you’ll fully manage and deliver projects for our group and clients, identifying revenue opportunities and effectively managing our contractual relationships. Key Responsibilities will include Liaise with and manage the work provided by customers, clients and third-party suppliers Lead the technical and operational projects as PM and manage the continuous internal projects via the established change control processes Obtain and draw up detailed requirements from the project Plan and monitor projects to industry recognised principles such as of Prince 2 or PMI Utilising MS Projects develop project schedules for the detailed control of engineering, manufacturing, installation, integration etc as well milestones by others that impact project execution. Proactively identify and log risk areas to ensure contingency actions are quickly implemented Effectively manage project time frames to ensure they are on schedule with projected milestones, whilst developing the program management of the related projects Provide weekly reporting of progress and escalate issues as appropriate Identify, establish and maintain positive business relationship with the project sponsors To complete and file all relevant documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures To maintain good communications with all interested parties to the project About you The ability to influence through persuasion and relationships is essential to being successful in this position, whilst also possessing the broad skills involved in establishing and running project services function including building a team, developing organisational structures, designing work processes and implementing the project solution. Additionally, you’ll have a strong background and working experience, in the field of aviation projects coupled with previous senior responsibilities within the airport environment delivering complex integration projects in operational environments, including the management of multi-disciplined project teams, coupled with: Substantial and extensive experience with planning, management and execution of projects within the airport environment, from concept through to successful deployment. Knowledge of the constraints and methods for defining and demonstrating equipment, subsystem, and system performance criteria. Being adept at implementing effective risk management and change control processes Having advanced experience in establishing and implementing controls and reporting systems Ideally be price Prince 2 or Project Managers Institute practitioner qualified, however candidates with exceptional project planning experience will be considered Possess the gravitas and experience in effectively managing contractual 3rd party relationships The ability to switch from an operational to a strategic perspective at a senior level Preferably be educated to degree or equivalent level Focused & customer driven, with excellent commercially acumen and a strong eye for detail Self-motivation and a high level of individual initiative Strong communication skills and the ability to delegate as appropriate while exercising a significant level of follow up to achieve objectives Being willing to travel world wide to support the requirements of the business and on both project and business development levels. Knowledge and understanding of the responsibilities and impact of project execution when interfacing with project stakeholders Control and deliver project status report inclusive of timing, risks, opportunities, financial status, manpower requirements, HS&E issues, technical issues etc Ability to develop, define, and execute acceptance test plans Experience of 3rd party procurement by developing RFPs/RFQs, bid review and assessment, and contract award in line business purchasing procedures. Ability to coordinate the execution of activities by internal resources as well as owner/general contractor resources and recognize early and proactively issues that require corrective action and impact on timely execution. Experience with and execution of general processes associated with change control, approvals, and information exchange involving several stake holders, both internal and external Ability to recognise and mitigate scope creep, cost concerns and schedule drift for internal and external project stakeholders.
