Overview
A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Solicitor to join a top-tier international firm based in Leeds. Our client handles major commercial, IT and outsourcing projects for some of the largest clients in the world. They provide the full range of legal services to an enviable range of major clients, both private and public sector, across areas such as financial services, IT, data and privacy, energy, food, retail, manufacturing and projects. Their solicitors are leading specialists in their fields, delivering both expertise and general commercial skills that make a real difference. These skills are tested on major projects, often with an international dimension. You will work as part of a national team advising on a wide range of commercial and IT contracting matters. These will range from day to day contracts to some of the most strategic and business critical contracts that their blue chip clients enter into. Whilst there will be the opportunity to get involved in some GDPR work if this is something of interest three isn't a pre requisite to do so. The workload is varied, challenging and rewarding and will also have an active engagement with clients and colleagues across the globe as well as being involved in business development from an early stage. You will have the opportunity to work on large projects as well as taking more responsibility for smaller standalone matters. They are looking for strong technical skills and excellent academic qualifications in addition you will be able to demonstrate exceptional inter personal skills and a willingness to play your part in business development. They are happy to recruit from industry or private practice and find that people often make the move over from industry seamlessly, perhaps due to their commercial approach. To be successful you will have a sharp and intelligent mind with the ability to think through complex problems under pressure. You must be able to provide first rate client service, both internally and externally, coupled with a commitment to delivering a quality service. Due to the requirements of the team, the firm is looking for an experienced Commercial solicitor and have indicated that candidates around the 4-8 year PQE mark will succeed in this role.
