Overview
My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in SuDS, Flood Risk and Transport Engineering, is searching for a Graduate Flood Risk Consultant to join an established team specialists based in Chesterfield. It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc, MSc or PhD in Civil Engineering, Hydrology or Environmental Management and experience working for a UK based Consultancy, Local Authority or University specialising in SuDS or completing Flood Risk Assessments and Surface Water Drainage Strategy. It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience completing Flood Risk Assessments. This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to complete SuDS Research Projects for local Universities and complete varied Flood Risk, Surface Water and Drainage Projects for Residential and Commercial Projects for Private Sector Clients, Architects and Local Authorities. Applicants will also be supported to complete the following; -Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1, 2 and 3. -Surface Water Management Plans. -Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategy. -Assist with Research Projects specialising in SuDS alongside local Universities. -Attend frequent Client Meetings at Universities.
