Overview

Our client is a leading energy technology company with a vision to simplify distributed energy for global sustainability impact. They are currently looking for a Technical Account Manager to join their team. The Account Manager will be responsible for improving the partner retention rate, increasing revenue per partner and growing the relationship with partners across our client’s platform-as-a-service portfolio. This position will provide an opportunity for international travel. As a result, we’re looking for a candidate with a strong background in international energy markets, PaaS products, electrical engineering and customer service, with a track record of closely working with partners to grow their business in a service-oriented environment. Responsibilities Day-to-day management of partners after PaaS roll-out Coordination of configuration and shipping of hardware to partners Testing new installations Organisation and implementation of training for partner personnel Support partners to grow portfolio Liaise with Project Managers for new site/asset installations Inform Technology of any bug reports by partners Liaise with Product and Commercial departments to address partner requests for additional features Managing the partner lifecycle, including milestone events such as contract renewals Develop and implement a voice-of-customer programme To collate, summarise and act on voice-of-customer feedback Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) Prepare reports on account status Requirements At least 5 years of relevant experience Fluency in English – a working knowledge of foreign languages advantageous but not required (e.g. German, French) Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering Strong interpersonal and presentation skills Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role Proven ability to juggle multiple account management activities at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level Solid experience with CRM software Experience with electrical systems First rate customer management skills, coupled with strong listening and communications skills Enthusiastic about green energy and technology Commercially aware First rate customer management skills, coupled with strong listening and communications skills Strong verbal and written communication skills About us Climate17 are recruitment specialists across Clean Energy & Environmental markets.
