Overview
Winlight Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Safeguarding and Assessment Team (SAAT) in Sandwell Children’s Trust. The pay rate for this locum Safeguarding and Assessment Social Worker position is £29.93 per hour and is an initial 3-month contract. Candidates working in this team will have the opportunity to: Play a pivotal role in developing effective relationships with children and their families to identify their needs and agree plans with families to achieve change. Have a good knowledge of minimum standards and be able to achieve our expectation for promoting change in family life. Complete single assessments, undertake s47 investigations, use a range of direct work tools to evidence the child’s voice in your assessments and plans About Sandwell Children’s Trust: As a new Trust they are agile and understand where they are in their journey. Their recent Ofsted monitoring visits reported that the Sandwell Children’s Trust knows itself well. That management oversight has improved and the workforce that is increasingly stable and recruited additional agency staff above its established workforce, recognising the need to reduce caseloads. The incumbent social workers talked to all spoke positively about working for Sandwell Children’s Trust and progress has been made in ensuring that the first response to families and children in need is timely. To be considered, you must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in Social Work, Social Work Degree or equivalent) as well as at least 2 years in a frontline Child Protection setting.
