Overview

Due to the expansion and success of our hospital, Oakleaf are now looking to recruit experienced and motivated support workers to join our friendly and supportive team at Windsor Care. Windsor Care services have a dual purpose whereby Mental Health regulated activities run parallel to a Nursing Home environment. We have some exciting positions available on our female nursing care ward that takes complex and very challenging residents, who have not been able to remain in other specialist dementia care homes due to their complexities and behaviours that challenge. As such the staff we recruit to manage and care on this ward require experience in dealing with this type of client. You must be emotionally robust, work well in a team and know how to communicate well in difficult and challenging circumstances. Location: Hurley, Berkshire.This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established yet growing company. The Role of Support Worker: Ensure that service user rights are protected. Maintain the hygiene, dignity, health and safety of service users at all times. Assist service users individually as required to support them with daily routines and activities. Observing service users ensuring a safe environment, protecting them from harm. Encourage a model of self-care and service user rehabilitation. Systematically solve day-to-day basic problematic issues which arise. Work in cooperation with members of multi-disciplinary health teams so as to maximise opportunities for service user therapeutic care. Assist in the design and administration of an evaluation of the care standards and care service provision. If applicable, assist in the administration of medication. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the standards required by legislation related to the registration of the service. Maintain an awareness of the Health and Safety requirements.
